“Just one terror tot”

Films: It's Alive (2009)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human infant.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Remember when a simple childbirth got turned into a bloody nightmare when the baby turned out to be a monster created by drug misuse? Well, it was only a matter of time before we saw another fanged newborn come into the fray. The only difference here is that no sequels followed. Probably for the best.

History: In Albuquerque, NM, a Harker and a Davis are anticipating a new child before marriage. However, the baby's strange accelerated growth demands a c-section, and when Davis shows up, the whole hospital room is in bloody shambles, and Harker is holding an alright baby. Turns out, the baby known now as Daniel has come out as a cannibalistic predator, prone to ripping out the throats of just about anything.

Notable Kills: It's a baby bringing down things three times its size. What do you want us to say? Well, there was one where he RIPS OUT OF A GIRL'S MOUTH AFTER HAVING RIPPED A HOLE THROUGH HER HEAD.

Final Fate: After many have been killed, Harker decides to take her kid back into a now-burning house. She and Daniel just sit there and wait for the wreckage to take them...

Powers/Abilities: Incredible strength for its size.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-It may not have the more mutated aspects of the original Davis baby, but damn, those are some impressive chompers. Also, this thing appears to be extra sadistic, as we get to see some messy deaths involving small animals and humans alike.

Trivia: -What little non-effect acting there was from Daniel was provided by child actor Raphael Coleman.

-The original film's writer/director, Larry Cohen, does not have anything fond to say about this remake. In his own eloquent words, "I would advise anybody who likes my film to cross the street and avoid seeing the new enchilada".

And more than just kicking.
The tears of baby Death incarnate.
Humongous? Does anybody remember that film?
Never thought I'd say this, but where's the trash can?
