Films: Orphan (2009)
Alias: Leena Klammer
Type: Natural
Location: Civilized Area
Height/Weight: That of an average human girl.
Affiliation: Evil
Summary: Orphans are just the most pitiable and heartwarming children around. Yes, we know that being bereft of a family sucks, but thankfully for them, so many people are willing to give them a home. Just don't ever cross this one. Never this one...
History: Esther the Russian orphan is not who she seems. For starters, that isn't even her name. It's actually Leena Klammer, a psychotic woman diagnosed with hypopituitarism that has kept her from looking like she's aged past 10. She escaped from the asylum a long time ago, and has posed as a little girl since. Every family that's adopted her has been killed, and now the process is going to start all over again...
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: After her secret is revealed, Esther and her new mom tussle on a frozen pond, which shatters and sends the two sinking. The mom manages to get out, and deliver a powerful-enough kick to the fake brat's head to snap her neck and send her to a watery grave.
Powers/Abilities: None.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 3.5-The twist is bound to catch you off guard, and in that moment, you'll realize you left your kids with an adult sociopath with a desire to kill. Esther/Leena/whoever is as cunning as she is merciless.
Trivia: -This film attracted a bit of controversy due to how people interpreted its purpose as being very anti-adoption. The filmmakers at the very least tried their best to let people know that they condone adoption in the wake of all of this.
-Esther was played by Isabelle Fuhrman, a child actress who was chosen after a very long search on the filmmaker's parts. Needless to say, the search was worth it.
