“The Serpentine Conspiracy”

Films: Venomous (2001)

Alias: None

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized Area/Desert/Forest

Height/Weight: That of average rattlesnakes.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Weaponizing snakes. Perhaps a worse idea than lions, tigers, or bears. After all, at least you stand SOMETHING of a chance of walking out alive after a bite. Not so much with snakes. Especially ones bred to be deadly as possible...

History: The result of a government experiment, this breed of rattlesnake was designed specifically for killing things. Then one day, a break-in from some Iraqi soldiers gave the snakes a chance to escape, which they did. After hiding in the ground for some time, they rose again. They first bit a dog. Then that dog licked its master. Then he got infected with the disease that these snakes' venom happens to carry. An epidemic is on the horizon...

Notable Kills: One bite is all it takes...no anti-venom...

Final Fate: Many snakes are killed in the end, but most are apprehended once the disease is brought under control. However, there are still some wild snakes out there carrying the venom. Pray they never see civilization again...

Powers/Abilities: These snakes have a lethal disease in their venom. Coming into contact with those infected will infect you too. Also, they can burst through solid rock somehow.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-They're just regular rattlesnakes...but that shouldn't make you underestimate them. If there's a snake out there that can kill everyone around it with an Ebola-like disease, then the human race is screwed. That's why nightmares like this are in the movies only...for now...

Trivia: -This film was also known as "Virus Outbreak", "Eclipse", "Attack of the Mega Snakes", "Snake Zone", and simply "Snakes".

-The virus in question is given the name "The Satan Bug", which just so happens to not only coincide with the snake's occasional religious affiliation with evil, but was also the name of a virus-themed movie made in 1965. Does that make this film an unnoficial reboot?
