Films: Final Days of Planet Earth (2006)
Alias: Various, notably Liz Quinlan
Location: Civilized Area/Underground
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Summary: Another body snatcher film. Oi vey. But hey, at least this one actually gives us some aliens that have the decency to look interesting. No pods here!
History: Long ago, a race of insectoid aliens deprived their planet of any resources, causing their children to come out stillborn. Now, they've decided to get a fresh start on our planet, and it just so happens that people are great breeders. Led by their queen, concealed as mayor assistant Liz Quinlan, they're beginning an invasion that could doom civilization right under our noses. Only a few folk and a man who was driven insane by discovering the aliens, and who has some tainted blood, stand a chance of stopping it.
Notable Kills: Let's just say that the queen got her new identity by stealing Liz's skin and/or hollowing out her body!
Final Fate: After finding their lair, the infected man takes himself out with a grenade, blowing the entire nest up along with all of its occupants. The invasion has been stopped!
Powers/Abilities: The aliens can take the form of whatever body they manage to steal with next to no indication that they're in disguise.
Weakness: Anything conventional, though they're also adverse to any sort of infection.
Scariness Factor: 4-The CGI isn't quite as bad as typical low budget modern sci-fi standards, though it can get a little hokey. Aside from that, we have yet more paranoia fuel this time in the form of alien Applegates (remember that?). They're as hideous as they are devious.
Trivia: -This film was also known as "Alien Impact: The Final" and "Invasion".
-Liz was played by Daryl Hannah, who was also Elle Driver in the "Kill Bill" movies.
