Films: Dragon Storm (2004)
Location: Forest/Civilized Area
Height/Weight: That of small biplanes.
Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Evil
Summary: King Ghidorah is hardly the only alien dragon out there. Imagine a whole horde of them. Not very big nor powerful in comparison, but still more than a match for medieval mankind.
History: From the cosmos and into the Earth's crust smashed more than a few meteorites. A quiet kingdom was to be rudely awakened when the meteorites turned out to be incubators for fearsome dragons that immediately took to trying to kill everything around them. Soon, two opposing kingdoms are forced to ally if they’re ever going to get out of this alive.
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: All of the dragons are killed one way or another, usually through shots to the head. The last one, a female, gets blown up when it's shot in the throat with a crossbow.
Powers/Abilities: They breathe fire and can shoot large quill-like projectiles from their skin.
Weakness: Heavy artillery, though it's best to aim for the organ in their throats that produces fire. It will trigger an explosive reaction.
Scariness Factor: 2-It is as if someone remade "Reign of Fire", but didn't grasp the budget nor the recklessness of it all. These dragons lose whatever additional credibility they might have had due to some rather bad CGI.
Trivia: -At the time, this was Syfy's most watched original movie, with over three-million viewers on the first day. God knows why, but maybe it's just dragons.
-Dragons and space are connected in some way. Some used to believe that comets were dragons streaking across the sky, and we must not forget that one of the major constellations is Draco, a serpentine form that represents the Greek Ladon, a dragon that guarded the Hesperides gardens and was said to have one-hundred heads.
