Films: Skeleton Man (2004)
Alias: Cottonmouth Joe
Location: Forest/Civilized Area
Height/Weight: That of an average human.
Summary: Evil Native American folks coming back from the dead? A tired and implicitly racist film premise. A murderer of Native Americans coming back from the dead? Much better. Gives us someone we could hate, undead or not.
History: Cottonmouth Joe was a vile killer of tribes back in the day, but he was eventually put down for his crimes. However, once a burial ground got disturbed, Cottonmouth Joe rose from the dead as the dreaded Skeleton Man, an invincible undead warrior out to kill anyone living in or around the woods. Now a whole strike team is pitted against this one man. But there's a lot to fear from a man with literally nothing to lose...
Notable Kills: Snipes a helicopter out of the sky with nothing but a bow and arrow.
Final Fate: After killing everyone sent to kill him, Skeleton Man's reign of terror is seemingly brought to an end when he's led to a generator room at a chemical plant. One loose wire later, and the whole place blows up with him in it. However, there are strong implications that he survived that too...
Powers/Abilities: Amazing strength and great resilience, as well as a affinity for traditional Native American weapons such as tomahawks and the bow.
Weakness: Heavy artillery...we think.
Scariness Factor: 4-In all honesty, this guy looks like a Halloween grim reaper more than anything else. All that said, he's certainly the most dangerous guy you've ever seen in that getup. Anyone who can bring down heavy aircraft with a single shot of a basic weapon or beat down your ass six ways till Sunday in single combat is not to be trifled with.
Trivia: -Cottonmouth Joe was played by Dominiquie Vandenberg, who was known for teaching Leonardo DiCaprio how to knife fight for "Gangs of New York", among other things involving acting and stunts.
-For some strange reason, Germany marketed this film as a comedy, poking fun at Ed Wood in the advertising.
