"Like werewolves but totally different"

Films: Skinwalkers (2006)

Alias: Various, notably Timothy, Nana, Rachel, Jonas, Katharine, Varek/Caleb, Zo, Sonia, Grenier

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Good (Timothy's family), Evil (the rest)

Summary: Here we have two houses divided. Divided because of a curse. One wishes to get rid of it, the other embraces it. Caught in the middle is a young boy whose only now feeling the curse. The curse of the werewo-I mean, skinwalker.

History: Started by a miscreant named Caleb eating people and letting himself be taken by lycanthropy, the skinwalker curse has affected a small family for some time. But while Caleb changed his name to Varek and formed a skinwalker biker gang, the family he left behind bore much fruit. A son named Timothy is the youngest, but his specific half-breed status makes him a target of Varek. Now he and his family must evade Varek's forces if they are to have any hope of perhaps finding a cure for the curse.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: At long last, Varek and his minions are killed by the family's eldest members, or at least the ones who survived. The surviving members realize that Timothy's blood is a cure for the curse, and in time, the boy grows into a capable werewolf rescuer/hunter.

Powers/Abilities: Can transform on a whim, and can infect people with the curse with their blood/bites/violence.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-On the scale of bestial werewolves, these ones are more on the humanoid side. Of course, that doesn't make them any less dangerous, but at least there are those who would actively like the curse to die. Just stay away from the ones who don't.

Trivia: -Actual skinwalkers, or the yee naaldlooshii, are beasts of Native American legend often described as either wearing animal skins or simply having a variety of forms to turn into after they indulge in taboo.

-Ironically, some of the skinwalker actors would go on to play vampires in later films, such as Rhona Mitra in "Underworld 3".

Doesn't take much to set it free, apparently.
Never a good combination. Just ask the X-Men and the Inhumans.
Behold! The power of Stretch Armstrong arms!
"FLEAAAAAS!"
