“Furry infection”

Films: Battledogs (2013)

Alias: Various, notably Donna Vorhees and Brian Hoffman

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Twice that of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Usually, a virus spells 'zombie apocalypse' rather quickly in movies. That, or just an obnoxious disease. But here, the result is werewolves now. Werewolves that run on Hulk logic.

History: Out of nowhere, a virus spread throughout Manhattan that turns people into ravenous werewolves. Some have actually been captured by the army, and at least one crazed guy thinks he can mold the werewolves into the perfect soldier. But some don't quite agree with that (as if anyone would). And now, the patient zero Donna Vorhees is on the run from both man and beast.

Notable Kills: Nothing special, at least while our heroes are in wolf form.

Final Fate: After our two heroes make their escape, the whole city is bombed to Hell, though the damage and human casualties are shockingly minimal. Also, a tooth was salvaged that may hold the key to a cure.

Powers/Abilities: The virus spreads spontaneously, but those infected can transform into werewolves during times of high stress and/or anger.

Weakness: Anything conventional, though they can be turned back either through calming methods, intense pain, or possible cures.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-As usual, no good scares survive Asylum's bad CGI. The werewolves here may be brutal juggernauts, but they are about as well animated as you might expect from the guys peddling Sharknado films during this decade. Also, the brave can console them into becoming human again.

Trivia: -This film was directed by Alexander Yellen, whose career in cinematography gratuitously outweighs his in directing things.

-As one might guess, there are several instances, especially towards the beginning, where background actors don't react to the CGI werewolves standing right there in the open. This is what is often called Bad Directing.
