“Slither and tear”

Films: Cobragator (2018)

Alias: None

Type: Man-Made

Location: Swamp/Cave/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average bus.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Here's a very special case. It's a movie that seems to fly under the radar every single time we try to get our hands on it. And that's a shame too. For all the usual guff this has due to its nature as a Syfy title, it had a very cool monster.

History: A monstrous mutation made by a madman from the Everglades, Cobragator is a menace to everything and everyone around it. As you can imagine, it starts off eating anyone who goes near the water, but slowly graduates to killing people in the woods, then in the more populated areas. It would seem that no one can stop it.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After a good deal of rampaging, Cobragator is finally brought down when it gets caught in an explosion. Now, the Everglades can rest easy again.

Powers/Abilities: A near-impervious hide.

Weakness: Heavy artillery, though it really hates fire.

Scariness Factor: 3-Again, bad CGI plagues Syfy once again. But you got to hand it to the concept designer. Cobragator looks less like some kind of mutant and more like a demon out of Hell. In fact, he's like a smaller, less evil, and more armored version of Buraki from "D-War". Seeing such a beast coming at you cannot be pleasant, given its immense power and size. But of course, limited effects put it all to a bit of a halt.

Trivia: -This film was meant to be released in 2015, but stuff happened along the way, and while it supposedly released in 2018, trying to find a physical copy is like looking for bigfoot.

-This film was shot in Marianna, Florida, a rather frequent place for low-budget horror movies to be made, especially ones set in the bayou.

You lose anyway.
Ain't this a wonderful summer's day?!

"These gas prices are INSANE!"
Hardly seems like a nice home for even one such as him.
Survival is lost upon our current age.
