Film: Beauty and the Liquid Men (1958)
Alias: None
Type: Mutant
Location: Civilized area
Height/Weight: Formless.
Affiliation: Evil
Summary: One day, director Ishiro Honda decided to take a break from smashing cities to bits with kaiju and focus on more ground-level horror. And what did he pick as a beginning endeavor? How about evil nuclear shape-shifting slime! Quite intriguing, actually!
History: One stormy night, the SS Ryujin Maru II was strolling along when suddenly, KABOOM! A nuclear explosion went off not too far away. Specifically, an explosion nicknamed the "Ash of Death". A combination of rain and radiation reduced the crewmates to formless beings with one sole purpose: absorb and eat all who crossed them.
Notable Kills: It's rather alarming to see their victims shrivel up and die upon being consumed from quite possibly the inside.
Final Fate: After being lured to their base of operation, the spacious sewer, the H-Men are exposed to copious amounts of fire, killing them all.
Powers/Abilities: The H-Men can change into almost any shape depending on their goal, and eat their prey by absorbing it.
Weakness: Fire will evaporate them completely.
Scariness Factor: 4.5-Anyone could be one of them, and by that time it would be too late. The H-Men are not as large as the Blob from the same year, but somehow worse with their element of surprise.
Trivia: -All the absorbing was portrayed by humanoid balloons deflating in fast-motion.
-The H in H-Man, and this is only a theory, refers to hydrogen. As in hydrogen bomb.
