"DUURRRRR..."

Films: The Phantom Planet (1961)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Eldritch Location/Cave

Height/Weight: As big as a large candle.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Perhaps there is a reason for all the aliens in this film being so small. So you wouldn't see their embarrassed faces as they fought the dummies known as the Solarites.

History: The doll-sized inhabitants of the asteroid Rheton were masters of gravity-related technology. Unfortunately, some other mini-races wanted it for themselves. In this case, the inhabitants of a planet consumed by fire known as the Solarites. During their recent assault, a Solarite POW escapes capture...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The alien invasion is thwarted, and the POW gets weakly shoved into a gravity machine, vaporizing it.

Powers/Abilities: Solarites seem to be capable of manipulating complex technology despite their looks.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 1.5-Sorry, but not only is this thing very slow, but jeez, did you see that face?! It might be the droopiest-looking thing ever conceived for cinema! We'd be surprised if this species' ability to use space craft didn't just translate to hitting just about every bit of debris until getting to their destination!

Trivia: -This film was released on a double-bill with "Assignment Outer Space".

-This film was directed by William Marshall, who grew tired of both acting and being a bandleader before directing, and had his own son star in this film. A bit of nepotism is...just eh.

It's an asteroid! Not a planet!

Wait, there's a reboot of this? I wasn't aware.
With that turrent, things could go south a bit quickly.

The only captives are one of human good and of Solarite savagery.
Had they'd only known what a TRUE Solarite looks like...

EXPLOSIONS! EPIC SHOVING MATCHES! STUPID MONSTERS!

Just...look at him.
