Films: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1978), Return of the Killer Tomatoes (1988), Killer Tomatoes Strike Back (1990), Killer Tomatoes Eat France (1991)
Alias: Various, notably Fluffy Tomato (FT), Zoltan, Kethuck, Viper
Location: Civilized area/Ocean/p>
Height/Weight: That of average tomatoes.
Affiliation: Good (FT), Evil (all the others)
Summary: Yes, we get that none of this was meant to be taken seriously. But we can't seem to wrap our heads around the sheer insanity that blossomed from this one tongue-in-cheek monster movie. Whatever the writers were on, we'd like some.
History: No one's sure where the original killer tomatoes came from, but when they hit the town, they left nothing to chance. Yes, these ravenous fruits somehow got off eating human flesh. Hilarity ensues.
Notable Kills: Tomatoes killing people. What do you WANT us to say?!
Final Fate: Le SIGH...here we go. The first wave of killer tomatoes is killed when the song "Puberty Love" causes them all to shrink. Then a recurring villain in the form of Dr. Mortimer Gangreeen creates soldiers out of killer tomatoes via rock music (?!), as well as an accidental good fury tomato known as FT. Then he tries using a talk show to allow tomato domination (?!?!?!?). Then the tomatoes get faces/personalities, and he tries and fails to take over France with them (...we give up).
Powers/Abilities: Can somehow eat people (before the faces).
Weakness: The song "Puberty Love" makes them shrivel up and become vulnerable.
Scariness Factor: 2-On paper, mass-produced food out to kill us sounds terrifying. But it really isn't. It's as goofy as it can be (FT is also adorable). The later faced tomatoes look like demented rejected Madballs toys, and act like them too.
Trivia: -The three named tomatoes in the last sequel, Zoltan, Kethuck, and Viper, are revamped and slightly renamed versions of villains from the Killer Tomatoes cartoon show. Oh yes, they made that. It exists.
-Due to being part of the nightshade family of plants, tomatoes were once thought to be dangerously poisonous. However, it is unique in that family because of how safe it is too eat. Just don't eat so much at the same time, or prepare for heart problems.
