Films: The Loreley's Grasp (1974)
Location: Forest/Civilized area/Cave
Height/Weight: That of an average human.
Summary: We've seen people do stranger things to live forever, but this is definitely one that will stick in our minds. Usually when we think vampires, we think a bit less ambitiously than lizard folk.
History: Lorelei has been around for centuries. How? By turning into a reptilian nocturnal monster known as the Loreley so that she may stalk a sorority and rip out the hearts of anyone she kills. Those she spares are either her henchmen or kept as prisoners for later.
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: Eventually, a man by the name of Sigurd (not very subtle) stabs the Loreley with a dagger forged from the sword of Siegfried. Before she departs to the afterlife, he tells Sigurd that they will meet again in Valhalla.
Powers/Abilities: Immortality through eating hearts, razor-sharp talons.
Weakness: The Sword of Siegfried.
Scariness Factor: 4-If her reptilian appearance doesn't put you off, her tendency to violently rip flesh apart will. This lady is not one you want to encounter in the night.
Trivia: -In Norse mythology, Sigurd was a great hero whose list of accomplishments include slaying the greedy dragon, Fafnir.
-"Lorelei" is also a name given to a German mountain of slate often said to make a mysterious murmuring sound (hence the German name). Legend has it that that murmuring comes from dwarves living in the mountain.
