"A Night of Famine and Terror"

Films: The Exorcist (1973), Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977), Exorcist: The Beginning (2004), Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist (2005)

Alias: Captain Howdy

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: Unknown.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Everyone and their grandparents knows about the incident this demon instigated. One of the most controversial and horrific possessions to this day. And to think, we've only seen its true face so few times.

History: Pazuzu is a very powerful arch-demon situated mainly in Africa. They say that the exorcist Merrin fought him off to near-death for the sake of a child when the demon came to our world for the first time. Then one day, Pazuzu targeted another kid. This time, an American girl named Regan. But Pazuzu doesn't just like any kids. He likes ones with psychic healing abilities (yes, the sequel established that).

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: Regan and Pazuzu are separated when Merrin's partner Father Karras allows himself to be possessed just to die falling down some stairs. The next time, Regan taps into her hidden power to drive off the locust swarm Pazuzu takes the form of.

Powers/Abilities: Possession, manipulation of reality.

Weakness: Exorcising.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Dear Lord, that face! And aside from that, can you really get the image of that possessed Regan out of your head? That's pure evil right there. Even the most skilled of exorcists best stay away from this destructive force.

Trivia: -In Mesopotamian mythology, Pazuzu is the king of all wind demons, and he commands famine, droughts, and locusts. With that said, he is also said to scare other demons away for human safety, making him something of a wild card.

-About those last two films in the franchise. "The Beginning" and "Dominion" should have been one film, but studio infighting and disagreements resulted in the original cut ("Dominion") being retooled and released earlier ("The Beginning"). What a hash.

The phone book listed him under "Most likely to be featured in the obituaries".

Pazuzu must have brought his buddies along.

Statue made when Pazuzu was most vunerable to the crotch. Seriously, look at that thing!

She remembers a better movie.

At least we didn't get TOO many sequels.

Seriously? Are we doing THIS again?!
Basically, Hell.

What was your first hint?

A vision of chaos awaits you.

Jokes on Paz. That symbol means absolutley nothing upside down.

It would explain the Voorhees legend.

Oh, look. Pazuzu's mom.

Somebody get a napkin.

Then stop this franchise from becoming the undead!

Well, Paz WAS the bringer of disease.

"For the last time, I'M NOT LINDA BLAIR!"

Poor spelling or a true foreign title? You decide.

Convinced of this movie's superiority yet?

Now, that's a host befitting of him.

Pazuzu, is this a phase you grew past? It's rather awkward.
