"Radiation is a Petri-Dish"

Films: Slithis (1978)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Ocean

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Gill men just aren't as popular as they were more than two decades ago. You have your lion's share of werewolves and vampires, but never gill men. Maybe the Slithis is precisely why.

History: Slithis is actually the result of a mad science-created radioactive substance that absorbs anything it chooses, and achieves physical form with it all. In this case, the second one, according to the film, formed into a bulky fish-man bent on killing anyone in Venice, California.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Two men manage to beat up/shoot/stab the Slithis, but it goes down when someone lodges and anchor into its chest. Despite this, it manages to rise again after being cast overboard. Its current fate is unknown.

Powers/Abilities: According to the movie, it would have kept evolving had it gotten the chance.

Weakness: Brute and blunt objects.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Imagine if the Amazonian fish-guy had hit the gym, and you have the right idea. That, or you can imagine that this ugly brute is the result of a slime person regaining a shred of dignity (60s film, remember?).

Trivia: -This film is also known as "Spawn of the Slithis".

-This film was shot in 12 days.
