"More than a Monkey's Paw"

Films: Demonoid (1981)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Underground/Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human hand.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Hands. FEAR THEM! Demons love 'em for possession and killing, apparently.

History: Hundreds of years ago, a cult in Mexico specialized in lopping off the left hands of their sacrifices to offer to the Kingdom of Darkness (are you sure we're not talking about Manos here?). Now, only one severed hand remains, but it presumably belongs to a one-handed demon, and now it's been unearthed. Now it can possess the living and kill alongside them.

Notable Kills: Manages to tear off a man's face by itself.

Final Fate: One possessed man has enough will to stab the hand, and let another burn it to ashes to be scattered to the sea. However, it somehow comes back. Because of course we needed a nonsensical twist ending, right?

Powers/Abilities: Possession.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-It's a pretty lousy deal to give us the hand of a supposedly imposing demon instead of, you know, the demon. But for what's it's worth, this hand can inflict a lot of damage.

Trivia: -This film was also known as "Demonoid: Messenger of Death" and "Devil's Hand".

-The director of this film apparently got the idea after a discussion about split-personalities at some point.
