Films: Munchies (1987)

Summary: It seems that there is no escape from the glut of people trying to be the next "Gremlins". Word to the wise, you can be close to something big, but you will never actually BE that something big. Face it, and accept it.

History: Somewhere in a Peruvian cave, a fossilized creature known as a Munchie was discovered. Surprisingly, it was only hibernating, and the creature was named Arnold. But then a few bad apples tried to abuse it, and after the little thing got chopped up, the pieces formed into all new Munchies, each one wanting to live in aggressiveness and debauchery.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After being confronted in a cave, the Munchies are dealt with when our protagonists use electricity against them.

Powers/Abilities: Any chopped-off part will regenerate into a new Munchie.

Weakness: Electricity.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-We SWEAR that these creatures had a stint on the Muppets at some point, but we can't be sure. Either way, these beasts just seem to be only able of causing irritating mischief and making the Gremlins look like saints. Then again, tough comparison.

Trivia: -Before you ask, "munchies" often refers to a hankering for hallucinogenic drugs.

-There is no sequel to this film. Those are entirely separate, and you'll have to check the 90s for the beast there.
