"Kai-jip"

Films: Kraa! The Sea Monster (1998)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Ocean/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of a large building at 87,000 metric tons.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Once again, the folks at Full Moon are indulging in some nice hot kaiju action. The only downside is that we have to put up with an incompetent Earth defense force, weird aliens, and a plot altogether ripped from a Power Rangers premise along the way.

History: The evil Lord Doom, ruler of the dying planet Proyas, has recently sent a giant monster named Kraa to mess things up as he plans world domination. Only the Planet Patrol stands between him and his goals. If the Patrol is to have any hope of beating Doom, they must kill Kraa first. But how?

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After Doom is apprehended rather easily, Kraa is destroyed by a laser cannon powered by the Planet Patrol's base. Then again, one of Doom's minions has a key...

Powers/Abilities: Kraa can fire a beam of concentrated noise.

Weakness: Heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Kraa may lack a lot of the realism found in typical kaiju suits, but he's still fairly mobile and sports that really sinister and toothy smile all of the time. Also, it took some time to figure out how to beat him.

Trivia: -A later film, "Planet Patrol", was a horrendous amalgamation of footage from this film, alongside "Robot Wars", "Doctor Mordrid", and "Subspecies".

-Kraa is probably named after the villain of an old 60's Marvel comic known as "Kraa the Unhuman!".

Just look at that sadistic smile!

This city is just cooked.

"What kind of cheap novelty figure is this?!"

They always fall for the electric powerlines.

Lord Doom himself. That totally doesn't sound like a lawsuit.
