"For we are many"

Films: Gamera 2: Attack of Legion (1996)

Alias: Region

Type: Alien

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: 140 meters and 600 metric tons.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: After the Gyaos, things were ready to take a turn for the weird for our poor Gamera. And whenever we say weird when it comes to kaiju, we almost always mean that its ridiculously powerful. Enter Legion.

History: A race of silicon-based insectoids, the Legion came to Earth to cultivate gigantic flowers to spread their seed across the world and the galaxy. Gamera of course had a few objections to having world-wrecking flowers everywhere, as well as man-sized bugs picking people off. But the Mother Legion responded in kind by making more flowers and soundly beating Gamera up.

Notable Kills: Nothing special

Final Fate: During the final confrontation after Gamera's connection to humanity is sacrificed to revive him, Legion's drones are led into an electrical plant by the humans and destroyed. Gamera is given enough time to not only rip some of Legion's parts off, but unleashed a massive mana-powered chest beam at her, obliterating the alien menace. But with so much mana spent, there might be consequences. Gyaos-related consequences...

Powers/Abilities: Aside from making brood-spreading flowers, Legion can also fire an electrical beam by charging up its horns, create an electromagnetic field that absorbs projectiles, and wield crimson laser tendrils from any head wounds.

Weakness: Beings of equal or greater power.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Legion is perhaps one of the strangest kaiju to face Gamera. Yes, weirder than knife-heads and rainbow shooters (okay, that's pushing it). Her power is near-boundless, her design will is like a twisted combination of flower and beetle, and she has come exceptionally close to actually killing the turtle. Also, her minions, of which there can be thousands, are the stuff of nightmares on ground level.

Trivia: -Three suits for the soldier Legions were created, and they were each given a name after a 70's Japanese idol group known as the Candies (Ran, Sue, and Miki).

-Legion's destruction of her own methods of getting here (flight) is rather similar to how ant queens sever their wings after they relocate before becoming more subterranean in nature. The one difference is that Legion can still kick everyone's ass after this sacrifice.

Ever heard of serial escalation?

It's gonna be a long Tuesday.

"This won't hurt too much? Well, ask a stupid question..."
The subways are even worse than before. Somehow.

"YES, the bees!"

At least, she knows how to start up a light show.
One flower that you don't want to see. Or allow to grow.

I think you got her.
