"Let the magic show begin"

Films: Lord of Illusions (1995)

Alias: The Puritan

Type: Mystical

Location: Cave

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Magic can be used to do all sorts of wonderous things. It can also be the source of a great and terrible power. And sadly, there are many who would use this power to tear the world apart.

History: The origins of the mad sorcerer known as Nix are a mystery. All he's said is that he was a man who wanted to be a God...and changed his mind. Presumably, this means that he gave up wanting to rule the world in favor of just destroying it. More than a decade ago, his followers, under the command of right-hand man Phillip Swann, killed Nix for going too far with his sacrifices. Now, with Swann having become a stage sensation with the magic that Nix gave him, a cult revolved around the madman has gathered to kill their loved ones and bring Nix back.

Notable Kills: Upon being resurrected, Nix kills all of his followers for being too loyal by sinking them into the sands below.

Final Fate: Swann decides to sacrifice himself for the sake of those he loves, and has Nix cast into the Earth's core with his soul following suite.

Powers/Abilities: Manipulation of reality.

Weakness: Those of equal and greater power.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-This man, if you can even call him a man, killed all of his followers, who had just sacrificed their friends and family for him, just because they were too loyal! That alone tells you how sociopathic and ruthless this old lich is. Oh, and he's still showing signs of decay after being resurrected, and his illusions are the stuff of nightmares.

Trivia: -The opening was originally going to show Nix's pet mandrill getting messily shot, but it had to be cut due to the mandrill prop not working properly.

-In order to maintain an R-rating, the scene where Swann uses his own finger blood to grease the screws meant for forcing a mask on Nix was cut, but can be found in the Director's Cut.

The future, apparently, if what happens if magic is used for cruelty and evil.

Go back to community college, you drop-outs.
Fear is the appropriate response, after all.

Nix may not truly be their shepard, but...
The fate of all who trust Nix.

Sorry for screwing up the main image. This right-hand-man of his was just very memorable.
