"Let's Not Do the Time-Warp Again"

Film: The Time Travelers (1964)

Alias: Mutants, Androids

Type: Mutant, Man-Made

Location: Desert/Underground

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral, Good

Summary: In the future, we can advance technology all we want. But when the bombs get dropped, one has to ask if it was all worth it. Hopefully, we'll never see that future, but for the folks in 2071 Ad., time was the one thing they didn't have.

History: Somewhere in the not too distant future, nuclear war has laid waste to the world, leaving a select few alive and the rest as rabid cannibalistic mutants. Those few have made the most of their lot, building not only a rocket to get to the promising planet near Alpha Centauri, but also androids to do all of their work. Really creepy androids. And then some scientists from the past came along to muck everything up.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Eventually, the mutants break through the defensives, resulting in the rocket being destroyed in a vicious battle between them and the androids. The time travelers get back to their time...only to be stuck in a seemingly endless loop of going forward and backward in time.

Powers/Abilities: Nothing except strength.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-We don't care how benign those androids are, they look like someone way too into BDSM designed the Coneheads in a furious attempt to purge his friends of any joy. Those gaping mouths...The mutants are pretty standard ragged savages.

Trivia: -Production of this film began in 1963 under the moniker, "Time Trap".

-This film inspired the 1966 series, "The Time Tunnel" and the 1967 remake, "Journey to the Center of Time".

There's the fourth wall and then there's this.

Could have chose a better head design?

"Boo-beep. We are Team Cannon Fodder. Beep-boop."
The Hills Have Eyes 0: Back to the Future!

"Sticks and basic tools! We were FAR from prepared for this! Beep-boop!"

Well, that's not totally disturbing.
