Films: Mako-The Jaws of Death (1976)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Ocean

Height/Weight: That of an average human and shark, respectively.

History: Sonny Stein was a marine salvager in the Philippines who got access to a great power. A shaman gave him a medallion that allowed him to communicate with sharks. Sonny soon developed a kinship with sharks, and swore to kill anyone who hurt them.

Notable Kills: Sonny puts sharks on full display in a nightclub when they attack an underwater dancer.

Final Fate: Sonny's shark support ultimately turns into an excuse to kill any of his enemies. But then, he loses his medallion in a scuffle, and overcome with guilt, he allows the sharks to kill him.

Powers/Abilities: Can talk with sharks due to his medallion.

Weakness: Losing the medallion means the sharks will get him.

Scariness Factor: 3-A man among sharks sounds threatening, but he only targets those who pride themselves on killing the creatures. And let's face it, can you name a nice guy who prioritizes wiping out endangered species?

Trivia: -There are no mako sharks in this film, only tiger sharks.

-Sharks are rather important in the Philippines. The whale shark in particular is a protected species, and it's punishable by jail time just to touch one.

Okay, maybe a few corpse of sharks were utilized.

"Should we eat him or just let him wallow?"
If that was an actual Mako, there would be far more teeth to tear things apart.

Judging by the director, they were probably famished.
