Films: Piranha 2: The Spawning (1981)
Location: Ocean/Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of seagulls.
Summary: Remember Operation: Razorteeth? Remember how well that went over? Well, someone thought that another brood of killer little fish needed to be brought into the world. One with wings.
History: An attempt at making the ultimate bio-weapon, these genetically-modified piranha were carelessly cast into the Caribbean sea by their creators. They found refuge in a shipwreck, but as food grew scarce, they decided to take to the skies and pick off any human who dared be near their lair.
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: Most of the piranha are still in the shipwreck by the time someone manages to get explosives in there. Boom. No more piranha.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 4-A school of overly homicidal piranha is bad enough. But now it's like getting swarmed by seagulls with razor-sharp teeth. As a person who was assaulted by those beach rats before, I'd know the feeling.
Trivia: -There are flying fish, but they have the bodies of anchovies, and usually stay far away from civilization.
