The Budding 2000s

Welcome to the new millennium. The turn of the century. And for the world of monsters in movies, things would never be the same. Many new faces will show up, of course, and the variety is still going strong, but for the most part, the age of practical monsters is over. CGI is the new norm. And while there's usually nothing wrong with that, it would help give rise the perpetrator of what we see as the modern b-movies. The Sci-Fi Channel (or Syfy, as they are known now). These new cheap monsters may not be anywhere near as charming as the b-beasts of old, but they are more varied in shape and size than ever before.
